SAQA Auction quilt

I made this yesterday for the SAQA auction.
I love the fabric and would like to get more
of it. Does anyone know who makes this?
Love the color.
I have a show in August CHAIRS and I think this
would be great for a cushion on a wicker chair
sprayed the red color or Aqua.  Don't you?
Today I change out the art at the Farmhouse Restaurant
in Fair Oaks, Indiana. It is Abstracts this time.
Will take photos and post .

Another layer

I went to the studio to work on art quilts and
ended up adding another layer on my paintings.
Better or not it was fun.
Yesterday's fund raiser for the American Cancer Society
was a blast over $10,000 raise in just 2 and a half hours.
Impressive.
Virginia Spiegel and Karen Stheil rock.
Well today I have a whole day in the studio.
You all have a great day.
The sun is shinning here and I am happy.

I am very honored to be an invited artist for "The 100" to be held tomorrow, Wednesday, February 4, 2015 . The goal for this fiber fundraiser for the American Cancer Society is to raise $10,000 in one day.

How? All the details are here: http://www.virginiaspiegel.com/FFACThe100Fundraiser.html, but here are the basics: On February 4, the first 100 people to contact Virginia Spiegel (Virginia(at)VirginiaSpiegel.com) beginning at 10 a.m. Central will be given a link to donate $100 by credit card directly to the American Cancer Society through Fiberart For A Cause.  Each donor will receive an artwork from one of the 100 artists who have generously donated their work. Assignments of artwork will be made using a random number generator.

I'm sure you will want to be one of the very exclusive 100 patrons who will be randomly assigned artwork from an extraordinary line-up of international fiber artists.

Picked up a paint brush today

Wow did I have fun today.
I haven't painted in over a year.
I did not know how much I missed it.
 I was channeling Pollack today.
Can you tell.
I don't know if they are any good but they were
FUN.

10 inches of snow

Yesterday was spent watching the snow fall.
Over 10 inches of snow.
 The birds were hungry.
They posed for lots of photos.
I made 2 pot roast and a pot of chicken soup.
Meals in the freezer so I can work in the studio.
While it time to get busy in the studio.
Lots to do.

Snow

As I sit here and watch the snow drifting down outside
my window I am enjoying a cup of tea.
It is going to be a day of lots of snow.
Everything looks so pretty out the window.
I think it is time to get the camera out and take
some more snow pictures before it gets too deep.
I am going to prep some fabrics for snow dyeing
tommarrow. I think it will be a perfect time to
make some more sparkling fabrics.
Thats what they make me think of sparkles on fabric.

I loved this little quilt and should have kept it.
Well I can always make another one.
Recovering from another divaticulitus infection.
Keep me in you thoughts and prayers Please.
