Water.

Water.
Reflections on water,
Art.
All favorite things of mine.
Went to Lafayette for the FibR meeting last night.
What a way to get recharged.
Everyone is so talented.
But different.
Love the energy I get from them,
Our new show opens on June 22.
At the Wells Center at TAF.
More details to follow.
We all bring something to show and tell.
Just like grade school.
Anita, Pat and I reported on our class at QSDS.
Lots of laughter.
Thinking of Empty Spools for my next venture .
March of 2013.
A good break from the winter.
Enough dreaming.
Looking forward to a full day in the Studio.

Cool bath on a hot day.

What a hot day yesterday.
We sat down for lunch and looked out the window
we saw several sparrows taking a bath in the Koi pond.
What a refreshing idea.
Started picking out fabrics for my next art quilt
and could not find anything I liked for the back.
Got out the dyes and made 4  new over dyes,
in greens and blues.
Perfect for a water scene.
Now to get started.
Yesterday I added 805 to the backs of 7 yards of fabric.
I am ready to go this morning.
Love making water and tree scenes.
Have a great day everyone.

A day of ART

Missed out on blogging yesterday.
Sorry my sister gave me the Hunger Games books.
I sunk into the recliner and just now came up for air.
I am almost finished with book 2.
Today was the opening of the
Chesterton's Women's Club's annual show.
I got a third place ribbon and a check.
Now whether to spend it on fabric or paint.
I think I will interpret this small painting into a quilt.
It is called spring.
I had entered a larger painting and this small painting,
I thought the larger one would get a prize.
Not.
You never know.
