Saturday at the Street Market

Eight am and 38  degrees but its sunny.
The last street market in Chesterton for the year.
I buy a cup of warmth-hot chocolate.
I shop.
Huge cauliflower heads, brussel sprouts on the stem.
Large sweet onions.
Home made tamales for breakfast.
I stock up  on honey, dried fruit and grape jelly.
Bit of Swiss  bakery for crusty bread.
Now I know summer is over.
Holidays here we come.
Have a great week-end.

Cardinals in the Pines.

I am making a series of quilt cards for Christmas.
Last winters photographs are  great for these.
I print them on to Kona  cotton  with my ink jet.
 Iron them to fusible batting.
Then I add thread   painting with variegated thread.
One I added some hand embroidery ,
I do not like that as much as the first one.
I will offer these on my blog after Thanksgiving.
I have 3 shows to do before then.
Well off to the studio.
Tonight we go the the Lighthouse restaurant for supper.
Thanks to kids who give gift certificates.

Up close and personal

Love the leaves and fall colors.
I have decorated my home in the colors of nature.
Winter's are a joy inside  the glow of green and gold.
I almost don't miss the sun on cloudy days.
I put out a request for dog photographs yesterday
and got lots of beautiful new friends.
Love their dog faces.
They pose so nicely for their owners.
Starting today I will be in the studio daily.
The Holiday shows are coming and I need to create.

Fall in its glory.

It was so pretty this morning I  took off in the car
to take some photos.
250 shots later  returned home.
Remembered that I was low on gas last night.
I am so fortunate I did not run out of gas
I always take off in the mornings in my PJs.
Learned a new lesson.

Sunday morning.

Sunday mornings are special.
Today especially.
Someone close to us is awake.
Sitting up in a chair .
Talking to his family.
After 10 days in a coma.
A miracle.
God is great.
